It was revealed that in the five years leading up to June 2024, the number of coffee shops in Busan, South Korea, increased by 6, and there was also a significant increase in convenience stores and skin care businesses. In contrast, there was a significant decrease in beer halls, pop-up bars, karaoke, inns and motels, gas stations, and other establishments.
Mail order sales also grew rapidly, and online shopping became the mainstream of retail. Furthermore, restaurants, bookstores, and stationery stores increased slightly, but PC shops decreased. These trends are said to be influenced by changes in consumption trends, rising housing prices, and changes in dining culture.
