Busan Metropolitan City is a metropolitan city located on the southeastern coast of Korea. As Korea’s second city and the largest maritime logistics city, the maritime trade and logistics industry has developed around Busan Port, and it faces Japan across the Korea Strait and Tsushima Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950 and the fall of Seoul, Busan became the provisional capital of the Republic of Korea from 1950 to 1953. Many refugees fleeing the Korean War flowed into Busan, and the population soared. And on January 1, 1963, “Busan City” was promoted to “Busan Metropolitan City”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Busan’s main tourist attractions include Haeundae, a seaside resort with many skyscrapers, Jagalchi Market, the largest fish market in Busan and visited by many tourists, and the Nampo-dong area, which retains the old look of Busan.
