Jinhae Myeongdong Japanese castle, located near the observatory of the Solar Tower in Changwon Marine Park, saw Geoje Island in front, cut the top of the mountain behind Myeong-dong and built it in a rectangular shape using natural stones. The Japanese castle is 365 meters in circumference and 1-2 meters in height.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two rectangular stone pagodas were built on the east and west sides of the main castle, and two square stone pagodas were built on the peak 500 meters north of the main castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myeongdong Japanese castle is believed to have monitored the eastern shore of Jinhae Bay and the northern shore of Geoje Bay and reported the status of Joseon’s naval forces to Ungcheon Japanese castle, and it is believed that the Japanese army did not stay for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is said to have been built by Shigenobu Matsura in 1593 (the 26th year of King Seonjo’s reign), but there is also a claim that Yoshitoshi So, the son-in-law of Yukinaga Konishi, the owner of Tsushima Island, was built at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
