Bulguksa Temple<\/div>
\n

Bulguksa Temple is a temple located in Gyeongju, South Korea, and was designated a World Heritage Site in 1995 along with Seokguram. The temple was built during the Silla Dynasty and is dedicated to the art and Buddhist culture of Silla. Bulguksa Temple is home to seven national treasures, and the wooden structure was rebuilt in the 18th century. The precincts are centered around Daeungjeon Hall, and there are characteristic stone pagodas such as Dabotap and Seokgatap. Dabotap, in particular, has an unusual shape made of granite and is recognized for its stone processing technology and beautiful sculpture. These temples and pagodas reflect the culture of the heyday of the Silla Dynasty and are known as representative temples in Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seokguram<\/div>
\n

Seokguram is an artificial stone cave temple built on Tohamsan Mountain in Gyeongju in 751 during the Unified Silla Dynasty and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Seokguram enshrines a 3.48-meter-high statue of Shakyamuni, and is associated with the legend of King Munmu, the 30th king of Silla. Seokguram is a historical relic of Buddhism from the Silla Dynasty, with beautiful architecture and sculptural techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheonmachong (Ancient Tombs Park)<\/div>
\n

Daereungwon is a representative tomb park of the Silla Dynasty located in Gyeongju, South Korea, and is a collection of stone tombs from the 4th to 6th centuries of the Silla Dynasty. Daereungwon is designated as the Daereungwon District, a Gyeongju Historic Site, and is scattered with tombs of kings and nobles of the Silla Dynasty, including Cheonmachong and the tomb of King Michu. Daereungwon is scattered with huge tombs like mountains, so you can feel like you’ve traveled back in time to the Silla period as you stroll through the tomb park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
