It is the first undersea tunnel in the East built in 1932. The 483m long, 5m wide, and 3.5m high Tongyeong Undersea Tunnel was used as a connecting road connecting Tongyeong and Mireukdo Island through the sea of the Tongyeong Canal, and is now rarely used and managed as a historical site.
