Bulguksa Temple

Bulguksa Temple is located in Gyeongju, South Korea, and was designated a World Heritage Site in 1995 along with Seokguram Grotto. The temple was built during the Silla period and conveys the art and Buddhist culture of Silla. Bulguksa Temple is home to seven national treasures, and the wooden buildings were also rebuilt in the 7th century. The temple grounds are home to distinctive stone pagodas, including Daeungjeon (main hall), Dabotap (pagoda pagoda) and Seokgatap (pagoda pagoda). Dabotap (pagoda pagoda) in particular has an unusual shape made of granite and is highly regarded for its stone processing techniques and beautiful form. These temples and stone pagodas reflect the culture of the heyday of Silla and are known as representative temples of Korea.

Seokguram Grotto

Seokguram Grotto is an artificial rock-cut temple built in Tohamsan, Gyeongju in 751 during the Unified Silla Dynasty and is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Seokguram Grotto houses a 3.48m-tall seated Shakyamuni Buddha and is associated with the legend of King Munmu, the 30th king of Silla. Seokguram Grotto is a historic site of Buddhism from the Silla Dynasty, where beautiful architecture and sculpture techniques are in harmony.

Yangdong Folk Village

Yangdong Folk Village, located in the northern part of Gyeongju City, preserves the Confucian culture and traditional Korean houses from the Joseon Dynasty. This folk village was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010 along with Hahoe Village in Andong. There are about 150 traditional Korean Western-style buildings and thatched-roof houses. The village's head family and tiled houses are located on high ground, while the thatched-roof houses are located on flat ground. This folk village preserves the unique traditional Korean houses spread out along the mountain valley and the Confucian ideas and old customs of the Joseon Dynasty.

Cheomseongdae

Cheomseongdae is known as the oldest astronomical observatory in the East. The building is located between the Silla palace Wolseong and the Silla Royal Tombs and was built during the reign of Queen Seondeok. Cheomseongdae is praised for its elegant curves and exquisite harmony of square and circular shapes, which are unique to Silla, and is one of the most representative buildings of Silla.

Tenmazuka (Ancient Burial Mound Park)

Daereungwon is a representative Silla burial mound park located in Gyeongju, South Korea, and is home to a collection of Silla-era stone-piled wooden coffin tombs from the 4th to 6th centuries. Daereungwon is designated as part of the Gyeongju Historical Site and Daereungwon District, and is dotted with the tombs of Silla kings and nobles, such as Cheonmachong and King Michu's Tomb. Daereungwon is dotted with huge mountain-like tombs, and by strolling through the tomb park, you can enjoy the atmosphere of having traveled back in time to the Silla era.

Gyeongju National Museum

The Gyeongju National Museum, which displays various relics from the Silla period, covers an area of ​​over 2 square meters and includes the Silla History Hall in the main building, the Silla Art Museum, Wolji Hall, Special Exhibition Hall, Outdoor Garden, and King Seongdeok the Great Bell, with approximately 2 relics on display.
